Close Protection Course

Unique Protection is SIA-approved training centre and we offer Close Protection Course. The Close Protection Course is designed to cover varying security needs and environments.  You will learn a range of skills including threat recognition, assessments surveillance, decision making, team working, interpersonal skill, conflict management, vehicle techniques, IED awareness, communications and managing difficult and challenging behaviour. The course is designed to run for weeks and during your learning you have access to experienced and knowledgeable instructors with wealth of experience in the security industry. Our course is well above the recommended security standards. We are confident that Unique Protection training is the ideal place to improve your experience and skills for your security career.  Our Close Protection course consists of hours of guided learning for days. Upon completion of the Close Protection course, can take our First Aid course strictly designed to complement SIA protection course. With both courses completed you are then eligible to apply for your Front-Line SIA Close Protection Licence

Level 3 First Aid Response

Our First Aid Response is a very practical course which focuses on immediate response to saving life and preventing further damage to the injured. Our course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to confidently carry out first aid at your site or other places. We have a team of well experienced instructors ready to simulate real life as they take you through the learning modules.

CCTV training course for SIA licence

Our CCTV training course is delivered separately as CCTV Level 2 and Level 3 courses depending on your experience and previous CCTV level qualification. Your path to obtaining SIA licence starts with level 2 CCTV Training qualification then followed by Level 3 CCTV course.  The duration of the course ranges from 3-4 days. All candidates intending to work as a CCTV operator and apply for the SIA licence are required to be 18 years and above. The SIA CCTV Level 3 course is structured into 3 units:

  • Unit 1: Working in The Private Security Industry
  • Unit 2: Working as a CCTV Operator
  • Unit 3: Practical Use of CCTV Systems

Unit 1: Working within the Private Security Industry

  • Know the main characteristics of the private security industry
  • Understand legislation as it applies to the individual in carrying out a licensable activity
  • Understand the importance of safe working practices to comply with legal requirements

Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors Course

UFP Academy prepares offers Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors Course. Upon completion you eligible to apply for the updated SIA licence-linked security qualifications which were introduced in January 2015. The Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors course entails the following units:

Upskilling for Door Supervisors Course Content

The Upskilling for Door Supervisors Course is a 2-days course designed to improve your skills on physical intervention and, safety awareness for door supervisors in a private security industry. At the end of your learning, your understanding and competence will be assessed by taking multiple-choice questions based on what your learnt in the course.

Unit 1: Physical Intervention Skills within the Private Security Industry

  • Physical interventions and the implications of their use.
  • How to reduce the risk of harm when physical intervention skills are used.
  • Using non-aggressive physical skills to protect yourself and others.
  • Using non-pain related standing, holding and escorting techniques, including non-restrictive and restrictive skills.

Unit 2: Safety Awareness Unit for Door Supervisors within the Private Security Industry

  • Counter terrorism issues relevant to a door supervisor.
  • The role of a Door Supervisor when a first aid situation occurs in a Licenced premise.

Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment

Our Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment prepare candidates looking to work in the construction industry in the UK and prepares them to get a CSCS card. The course focuses on all aspects of health and safety on a construction site, preparing you for the test and thereby improving your chances of success. To be eligible to apply for the CSCS Green Labourer card candidates are expected to have passed the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment and The CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test. It is important to note that without these qualifications you cannot work in the construction industry in the UK.

Door Supervisor

Our Door supervision course is structured into 4 units which is covered in 4 days. At the end of learning one the final day, candidates are expected to take multiple choice exams and a practical assessment.

Security Guarding

Unique Frontline Protection Academy trains you to be a competent security guard and after the training you are eligible to apply for an SIA licence. Our Security Guard licensing course consist of three modules and each of the modules is accessed by our experienced instructors. The course contact time is 28 hours which could be taken over four days.
